If you are enrolled in Medicaid and live in the Cape Fear Region of North Carolina you could be eligible to have Good Bowls, which are delicious, healthy frozen meals, delivered to your home for free as part of the Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP).

The Health Opportunities Pilot  is a federal program that helps provide eligible Medicaid recipients with services such as healthy food, transportation, and housing to people living in the coastal area of North Carolina.  Good Bowls is currently providing free, healthy meals delivered directly to eligible participants in this area.  To see if you qualify, continue reading below…

  • Are you a Care Provider in the Cape Fear North Carolina region?

    If you’re a care provider for Medicaid recipients, your clients could be eligible to receive Good Bowls delivered to their home for free as well as other services as part of the Medicaid Healthy Opportunities Pilot. This new federal program helps to provide eligible Medicaid recipients with enhanced services in hopes of achieving better long term health outcomes.

  • Good Bowls are healthy frozen meals that were created by a UNC Chapel Hill Nutrition professor. They are all based on the famous Mediterranean diet and have been adapted for local taste preferences. They are 12 ounce meals and after just 4 minutes in the microwave, you have a full, healthy, and delicious meal that is ready to eat.

  • Good Bowls come in a wide variety of flavors to meet everyone’s tastes and preferences. You can enjoy dishes such as Chicken Burrito, Farmhouse Mac ‘n Cheese Bowls, Sausage Peppers & Grits, Pulled BBQ Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and many more.
